General Electric 'pancake' table fan
Date: 1902
Blade Diameter: 12"
Speeds: 5
Other information: trunnion-mounted motor on a swivel base. These fans are amongst the earliest fans that were widely available when in production. This specific model came with the earlier styled motor with the speed control still in the back of the motor yet featuring all 5 speeds that the later fans also had in the base. This was also the last year of that motor style and other minor differences that changed over the years. It was a luxury to have a fan back in the early 1900's and it is a luxury to have this fine piece in modern times.
(Switch knob is missing and the cage has been slightly modified from the original state on this example)
