Joined The Green Sears Club!!
I am now the proud owner of a Sanyo-made Green Sears fan from the 1970's.
This fan is epically good! I have it running on low speed in the living room, it's putting out a gentle breeze and just has a very quiet barely heard purr as it runs. I typically don't get all mushy over plastic fans, but this thing can rival the best out there as far as being a refined runner. Being as it's Japanese I'd compare it to a Lexus luxury car, smooth and silent running with decent power.
I made a trade deal with Paul N. to get this fan by getting him the Lasko made version with the more ornate badging and chromed cage. I personally like this style better, so we both ended up with the fans we ultimately wanted. I thought it would take me a while to score one of these, but it finally happened!
Here's a stock photo of the fan itself, I love the clean & simple design it has! Of course the green blades are perfect and fit right in with the "Atomic" Sears logo, those are my favorite design elements.
I'll get better pics & a video up soon!

It's gorgeous, Duane! I still think that Sears monogram is supposed to be a butterfly, though!

That's exactly what it looks like to me, yet it does kind of look like an atomic symbol.Jeremy R wrote:It's gorgeous, Duane! I still think that Sears monogram is supposed to be a butterfly, though!

Nice one Duanne! In the words of Andrew Jarmans (Dino Boy), "It green!"
